This is P.F. Bassøe

P.F. Bassøe AS is a highly competitive ship brokerage focusing on spot chartering of crude and fuel oil tankers, long-term timecharters and projects, market research and vessel operations.

Tanker Chartering

Our company is a well established player within crude and fuel oil tanker chartering, and the whole world is our scene. It is thorough knowledge of the world tanker fleet and close relations to shipowners and charterers that make for a good result for the customer. Our post-fixture department is professionally taking care of each fixture, an important element for a smooth fulfilment of each charter.

Long-term charters/Projects

The market for longer-term charters and innovative chartering solutions is growing, in line with the greater volatility and higher rate levels seen in the tanker market in recent years. The ability to lock in freight rates at a fixed level obviously has an attraction for both charterers and shipowners in an industry where spot rates have risen three-to-five fold on two separate occasions during the past five years. Typical deals involve timecharters, bareboat charters, contract of affreightment (COA) and consecutive voyage deals as well as more tailor made solutions.

As part of the Pareto group, P. F. Bassøe can offer its clients access to expertise within the following areas;

Market research

We do market research on an ongoing basis. The objective of our research is to provide our clients with timely and accurate information on current and future market developments, in order to identify turning points for freight rates and asset values in the highly cyclical shipping market. The research work includes monitoring of the macro environment in general, and of the oil market in particular, in order to better understand how freight volumes and trading patterns will impact demand for tonnage. We also closely follow the development of the fleet in important segments, including ordering and deliveries of new vessels and scrapping of old tonnage.
